Blue Hair Con 2014!

The Girls of Blue Hair Con 2014!

I decided to do another set of photos of my blue haired dolls. The collection has grown since I did it last :)
The first time only had 18 dolls - now there are over 30! Two dolls from the first set are missing - two of the fairies. I just couldn't get to the box with them in it.
Six of the dolls do have wigs, but they are blue wigs so it counts lol, that - and that I made two of the wigs. The ones Mina and Delilah are wearing.

Tempe & a fairy on Mina's head
Tempe's wig was a Blythe wig I bought.
Tempe used to be Felicity.

Been thinking..

I've been considering maybe doing another those who are blue shoot. I've got a few new blue haired dolls and even a couple of blue wigs. The only thing I don't want to do is scrounge around in the garage - I saw a black widow out there the other day. I hate spiders and I hate poisonous ones even more!!

Lalaloopy Girls

So I have 2 new girls to welcome to my doll family! Yes, I said 2! I don't generally buy many of the Lalaloopsy dolls, and as some of you may know the only large one I owned is a customized Blossom Flowerpot (I painted her bangs green!)

Blossom Flowerpot

I also own one of the Little Sisters: Bundles Snuggle Stuff

How can you help it when she's just that cute XD

I've been begging to get Rosy Bumps 'N' Bruises - she's adorable AND she shares a birthday with my hubby(and has blue hair which to me is a major plus!!).  Hubby tells me I already have enough dolls. But then he sees they've made a full size Charlotte Charades(she's the cutest mime I've ever seen!) and he agrees I can have her if I can find her. I found her! Toys R Us was having a sale too so(buy 1 get 1 half off) so I got my Rosy also!!

So time to meet the new girls!!

Charlotte Charades(She likes to be called Lotty):

Walking her "dog" Mimi

Hi! I'm Lotty!

She's even cute from behind lol

Rosy Bumps 'N' Bruises:

Rosy!

Hi everyone!!

Turns out it's a good thing I got them both - Rosy and Lotty are twins!!!

We belong together!

Twins!!

So how do Blossom and Bundles like Rosy and Lotty? They are all very happy!!

say cheese!!!

So I found this website that has a tutorial on how to make doll wigs - Antique Lilac
I am quite happy because this means I can make some wigs for my dolls - only problem? I can't crochet. Oh I've tried, but I can't seem to understand the mechanics of it! lol So I cam up with a second solution - get my mother-in-law to crochet it! Seems to work :) I got her to crochet the wig cap(in which took her all of 5 minutes to make!) and I bought some wigs on sale after Halloween. Once I got around to it I found I can make some pretty nice wigs for Mina. Now I need to get my mom-in-law to make a few more caps(I only had 2, didn't want to overdo it just in cast I sucked at it.) since I made both wigs.

This is the first wig: The original wig was a bit mangled, but I managed to work it out pretty well. As long as it's tied it seems to work well. The wig cap was white, but it doesn't show through so no worries.

Now the second wig is a dream come true! Since I had done the first wig, I knew what to do a little different and mostly how to get it to sit better. I rushed a little with the first one and was afraid to trim it in spots, but this one - not so much. I love, love, love it!

Mina loves having her Marina with her
